Andy has a long history of focusing on both people and teams to encourage strong performance and produce great results.

Born in the UK, he worked in Leeds before transferring to New Zealand with PwC, the world’s largest business advisory firm. During his 19 years as a partner he helped set up new practices and design and implement new services. He has extensive experience working with senior management teams and Boards in the tertiary education sector, electricity industry, health sector and the public sector. He has been a member of a number of public sector advisory committees and had two terms on PwC’s Governance Board.

Throughout this time Andy’s passion has been to achieve success through supporting and coaching people. By using a coaching approach and empowering people to focus on what they want to do and how they want to operate, he has achieved really positive results across financial and non-financial measures of success

Andy left PwC at the end of 2014 to concentrate on his passion for coaching.

Andy is married to Jude and they have two children, James (13) and Tessa (11). The family took a year out in 2015 to travel around the world before Andy joined ilume.

Andy loves soccer and coached his son’s team for 4 years; scuba diving, where he was a dive instructor, helping to run a large dive club; motor sport including racing at Manfeild in his black Honda Civic; the occasional game of golf, and is currently gaining a lot of bruises learning to mountain bike in the hills of Nelson, their new home town.
