My career in banking, financial and professional services has included involvement with start-ups through to the management of complex multi-jurisdictional businesses. My CEO and Board experiences in South Africa, Australia, the UK, and New Zealand have given me a unique understanding of what it takes to adapt to new environments and build sustainable businesses.
Through the course of my business career, I have always tried to find ways to help people achieve their full potential through coaching and mentoring in a voluntary capacity. This has given me insight into the motivators of a really diverse group of people and how to be an effective contributor to their successes.
Since arriving in New Zealand in late 2011 I have focused on my executive coaching work and am certified internationally through the International Coaching Community.
My coaching work is typically with existing and aspiring leaders who have taken on increased or different responsibilities, are being promoted into new roles, or are contemplating career changes. My experience is that one-to-one coaching always results in sustainable behavioural change and helps clients achieve congruence between their personal and business objectives.
My work with leadership teams, whose performance is dependent on successfully combining different skills, experiences and personalities, is informed by my commercial experience and the knowledge that organisations prosper when they are led by high-performing teams.
